About us

The UK Liver Alliance was set up to provide a single united voice for the liver community. The Alliance is a coalition of more than 30 organisations who are committed to improving liver health for all patients.

We have a bold vision to bring together the liver disease community to strengthen prevention, improve earlier diagnosis and reduce stark health inequalities in liver disease outcomes and care across the UK – including the sharp rise in avoidable deaths in our most disadvantaged communities.

The Alliance builds on the Lancet Commission on Liver Health. We aim to strengthen the UK’s approach to prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of liver disease – protecting the next generation from avoidable disease and premature death.
